Pearls of Fljótsdalshérað

The Fljótsdalhérað Touring Club or FFF has chosen 18 special  locations and trails leading to them as Pearls of Fljótsdalshérað, two in each of the old parishes. One trail is supposed to be fairly easy to reach and actually suitable for the whole family but the other is harder and often more difficult.

By each pearl you find a box with a stamp, guestbook and information about each location.  You can buy a card intended for stamping from  FFF (tel. 863-5813). When you have collected 9 stamps, you return your card to the FFF, where you will be awarded a special certificate and get to call yourself a distinguished honorific which is Göngugarpur Fljótsdalhéraðs  or ,, Fljótsdalshéraðs Sprinter.“
